Matthew Paul Booth (born 14 March 1977 in Fish Hoek, Cape Town) is a South African football (soccer) defender who currently plays for Mamelodi Sundowns after signing from Krylia Sovetov Samara, where he was captain of the team.

He made his debut for the South Africa senior team on 20 February 1999, against Botswana at Cosafa Castle Cup in a friendly.

He was also a participant at the 2000 Olympic Games.

Matthew is married to Sonia Bonneventia Pule, former Miss South Africa first princess, and international model.

They have two sons – Nathan Katlego, and Noah Neo.
